The Wapello-Mediapolis Road Race is a point to point race on Highway 99 of approximately 24 miles. This race for the past 16 years has ended in downtown Burlington. Due to the fact that a new bridge is being constructed it is not possible to have a finish at our usual location. It was conceived to give novice racers the opportunity to road race within their skill level. The race begins in Wapello proceeding south on Highway 99 turning west on H38 into Mediapolis. The terrain is gently rolling on Highway 99. There is a five mile long climb out of the Mississippi River Valley on the Mediapolis blacktop (H38).

Registration is from 2:00 pm to 4:15 pm at the Louisa County courthouse at Main & Franklin Streets, Wapello , Iowa .
