Check the sticker on your helmet. Effective imediately helmets with certification stickers for SNELL or ANSI are no longer valid in USAC sanctioned races. Buy locally so you can be sure your new helmet meets the requirements before your next race. |

page 246 in the 2010 USA Cycling rule book appendix 2 usa cycling policies policy 1 helmets "Helmets must meet the US DOT helmet standards or the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) standard for bicycle helmets." Euro helmets standards (CEN) are only valid in UCI races for UCI classes. |
